PetJumbo respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly and transparently.
PetJumbo is operated by SM SEAMLESS DIGITAL LTD, a company registered in Cyprus. SM SEAMLESS DIGITAL LTD is the controller of personal information processed through petjumbo.com.
Controller: SM SEAMLESS DIGITAL LTD, trading as PetJumbo. Contact: [email protected]
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use PetJumbo, we may collect:
Contact and identity information, including your name, email address, telephone number, billing address and shipping address.
Order and transaction information, including products ordered, order value, delivery details, order history, refunds, returns and customer-service records.
Payment-related information. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors such as Stripe. PetJumbo does not normally receive or store your complete payment-card number. We may receive information such as payment status, transaction identifiers, payment method and limited card details.
Account information, if you create an account, including login and account-related information.
Communications, including information you provide when contacting us, submitting a contact form or communicating with customer support.
Technical and usage information, which may include your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location, timestamps and cookie or similar identifiers.
Marketing and analytics information, where relevant and permitted, including information about how you interact with our website, emails or advertising.
2. How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information where necessary to:
- process and fulfil orders;
- arrange delivery and provide tracking information;
- process payments, refunds and returns;
- communicate with you about your order;
- provide customer support;
- maintain customer accounts;
- prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents;
- operate, troubleshoot and improve PetJumbo;
- comply with accounting, tax, regulatory and legal obligations;
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims;
- send marketing communications where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law.
Under applicable data-protection law, our legal bases may include performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting our business, and consent where consent is required.
Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
3. Payments
Payments are processed by third-party payment service providers, currently including Stripe.
Payment providers process payment information under their own privacy and security practices. PetJumbo generally receives confirmation of payment and transaction information rather than your complete card details.
4. Fulfilment and Delivery
To process and deliver orders, we may provide necessary information such as your name, shipping address, telephone number, email address, order details and delivery instructions to fulfilment, warehousing, logistics and delivery providers.
Only information reasonably necessary to process and deliver your order is provided for these purposes.
5. Other Service Providers
We may share personal information with service providers where reasonably necessary to operate PetJumbo, including:
- website hosting and ecommerce providers;
- payment processors;
- fulfilment and logistics providers;
- email and communications providers;
- fraud-prevention and security providers;
- analytics and advertising providers where enabled;
- accountants, lawyers, insurers and other professional advisers;
- authorities or regulators where disclosure is required by law.
We do not disclose personal information to third parties simply for them to use for unrelated purposes.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
PetJumbo uses cookies and similar technologies necessary for functions such as the shopping cart, checkout, security and website operation.
We may also use analytics, advertising or performance technologies where enabled.
Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential cookies or similar technologies, those technologies will be used subject to the required consent choices.
You can also control many cookies through your browser settings, although disabling necessary cookies may affect website functionality.
7. Advertising, Tracking and Sale of Personal Information
PetJumbo does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
We may use third-party analytics or advertising technologies where enabled. These providers may collect technical or usage information through cookies and similar technologies.
Depending on applicable privacy law, certain disclosures for targeted advertising may be legally classified as “sharing” even where no money is exchanged.
Where PetJumbo becomes subject to a law that provides applicable opt-out rights for such processing, we will provide the choices required by that law.
Our website does not currently treat the older browser Do Not Track (DNT) signal as a universal opt-out instruction because there is no single generally accepted DNT standard. We will comply with legally binding browser-based privacy preference mechanisms where applicable to us.
8. International Transfers
PetJumbo is operated from Cyprus while customers, service providers, fulfilment partners and technology providers may be located in the United States and other countries.
As a result, personal information may be processed outside Cyprus or the European Economic Area.
Where applicable data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we rely on an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision, contractual safeguards or another permitted mechanism.
9. How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to satisfy applicable legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention and dispute-resolution requirements.
Order, transaction and accounting records may be retained for at least six years where required by applicable Cyprus accounting or tax law.
Other information is generally retained as follows:
- customer-support communications: while reasonably necessary to resolve the matter and protect legitimate business interests;
- account information: while the account remains active and for an appropriate period afterward;
- marketing information: until you unsubscribe, withdraw consent or the information is no longer needed;
- technical and security records: for periods reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting and fraud prevention.
We may retain information for longer where required by law or necessary in connection with an actual or reasonably anticipated legal claim.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:
- request access to personal information we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- request deletion of personal information;
- request restriction of processing;
- receive certain information in a portable format;
- object to certain processing based on legitimate interests;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- object to or unsubscribe from direct marketing.
Some rights are subject to legal exceptions. For example, we may need to retain transaction information to comply with accounting, tax, fraud-prevention or legal requirements.
To exercise a privacy right, contact [email protected].
We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
11. California and Other U.S. State Privacy Rights
California law requires commercial websites collecting personal information from California residents to disclose their privacy practices.
If PetJumbo is subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act, California Privacy Rights Act, or another U.S. state privacy law in relation to particular processing, residents may have additional rights including rights to know, correct or delete personal information and, where applicable, opt out of certain sales, sharing or targeted advertising.
We will provide any additional notices and request mechanisms required when such laws apply to our business.
We will not discriminate against a consumer for exercising a privacy right provided by applicable law.
12. Children
PetJumbo is intended for adults purchasing pet products.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate authorization, contact [email protected].
13. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.
However, no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
14. Legal Disclosures and Business Transfers
We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, court orders or lawful requests; protect our rights, customers or systems; investigate fraud or security incidents; or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
If SM SEAMLESS DIGITAL LTD or PetJumbo undergoes a merger, restructuring, financing, sale or transfer of business assets, relevant information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our business, technology or legal requirements.
The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
